Peer Review Process
Jurnal Teknologi Mesin dan Otomotif (JTMO) applies a peer review process to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of all published articles. The review process is conducted objectively, transparently, and professionally.
Peer Review Stages
-
Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the Online Journal System (OJS), ensuring alignment with the journal’s focus and scope. -
Initial Editorial Screening
The editor conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript’s scope relevance, administrative completeness, formatting, and compliance with publication ethics. -
Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that exceed the acceptable similarity threshold may be rejected or returned for revision. -
Reviewer Evaluation
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two reviewers with relevant expertise. JTMO adopts a double-blind review system, in which both authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed. -
Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editor makes a decision: accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected. -
Author Revision
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified timeframe. -
Final Decision and Publication
Once the revisions are deemed satisfactory, the editor issues a final decision and the manuscript proceeds to publication.
