Jurnal Teknologi Mesin dan Otomotif (JTMO) applies a peer review process to ensure the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of all published articles. The review process is conducted objectively, transparently, and professionally.

Peer Review Stages

  1. Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the Online Journal System (OJS), ensuring alignment with the journal’s focus and scope.

  2. Initial Editorial Screening
The editor conducts an initial screening to assess the manuscript’s scope relevance, administrative completeness, formatting, and compliance with publication ethics.

  3. Plagiarism Screening
All manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts that exceed the acceptable similarity threshold may be rejected or returned for revision.

  4. Reviewer Evaluation
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two reviewers with relevant expertise. JTMO adopts a double-blind review system, in which both authors’ and reviewers’ identities are concealed.

  5. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ evaluations, the editor makes a decision: accepted, accepted with revisions, or rejected.

  6. Author Revision
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ comments within the specified timeframe.

  7. Final Decision and Publication
Once the revisions are deemed satisfactory, the editor issues a final decision and the manuscript proceeds to publication.
