Jurnal Terapan Ekowisata dan Hospitalitas (JTEH) is committed to upholding academic integrity, transparency, and professionalism throughout the entire scholarly publishing process. This publication ethics policy is developed based on the principles recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and international best practices in academic publishing. It serves as a guideline for authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher in maintaining the quality and credibility of scholarly publications.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts are original works, have not been previously published, and are not under review by another journal. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, data fabrication, data manipulation, and duplicate publication constitutes serious academic misconduct and will not be tolerated. Authors must present data honestly, accurately, and in a verifiable manner, and must properly cite all sources in accordance with applicable citation standards. Any potential conflicts of interest, whether financial, institutional, or personal, must be clearly disclosed. For research involving human participants, authors must ensure that the study is conducted ethically, with appropriate consent and respect for the rights and dignity of research subjects.

Editors are responsible for making editorial decisions independently, objectively, and fairly, based solely on the scholarly merit of the manuscript, its relevance to the journal’s focus and scope, and its contribution to the advancement of knowledge in ecotourism and hospitality. Editors maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not use unpublished information for personal benefit. The review process is conducted through a double-blind peer review system to ensure objectivity and prevent bias. Editors have the authority to request clarification, issue corrections, or retract articles if ethical violations are identified after publication.

Reviewers play a crucial role in maintaining the academic quality of the journal. They are expected to provide objective, constructive, and expert-based evaluations without being influenced by personal considerations regarding the authors’ identities. All information obtained during the review process is confidential and must not be used for personal or third-party advantage. Reviewers are required to inform the editor of any conflicts of interest that may compromise the independence of their assessment.

Politeknik Cristo Re, as the publisher, ensures that all editorial and publication processes are carried out professionally, transparently, and free from commercial influence or external pressure. The publisher supports the enforcement of this ethics policy and is committed to addressing any allegations of misconduct fairly and in accordance with established procedures.

In cases where publication ethics violations are suspected, JTEH will conduct a thorough investigation in accordance with COPE guidelines. Actions may include requests for clarification, manuscript revision, publication of corrections (corrigendum), or article retraction if the violation is deemed significant. Transparency in handling such cases is an integral part of the journal’s commitment to maintaining the trust of the academic community.

JTEH also acknowledges the advancement of technology in scholarly writing. The use of artificial intelligence–based tools is permitted solely as an assisting tool and may not be listed as an author. Any use of such technology must be transparently disclosed in the manuscript.

Through this publication ethics policy, Jurnal Terapan Ekowisata dan Hospitalitas reaffirms its commitment to being a credible, responsible scholarly journal that contributes sustainably to the development of applied knowledge in ecotourism and hospitality.
